In this role, you will contribute to the development and manufacture of life-changing therapies while working alongside a collaborative team in a highly regulated laboratory environment.This is a fully site-based role. Working together in person supports close, real-time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.What you will getAn agile career and dynamic working culture.An inclusive and ethical workplace.Compensation programs that recognize high performance.Medical, dental, and vision insurance.Opportunities for professional growth and career development.A collaborative team environment that values innovation and learning.The opportunity to help bring life-changing therapies to patients worldwideWhat you will doDesign, validate, and transfer microbiological testing methods in compliance with regulatory and quality standards.Support testing and release activities for raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.Lead environmental monitoring activities and analyze data to help reduce contamination risks.Maintain, qualify, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure reliable results.Author, review, and approve technical documents, including protocols, procedures, and reports.Support audit readiness and represent the microbiology function during inspections and client visits.Mentor team members and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the laboratory.What we are looking forBachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or another related scientific discipline.Experience working in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated laboratory environment.Knowledge of microbiological techniques, including bioburden, sterility, and endotoxin testing.Experience with environmental monitoring in cleanroom or controlled manufacturing environments.Understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and quality requirements.Experience supporting validation, qualification, or contamination control activities.Availability to work a 4x10-hour shift schedule that includes one weekend day.About LonzaAt Lonza, our people are our greatest strength.
