Contract | Travel | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Telemetry unit with a standard ratio of 4:1 (with cath recovery) and a maximum ratio of 6:1–7:1
Monitor patients using remote telemetry monitors and Alaris pumps; document care using the Meditech system
Assist with or support procedures performed on the unit including chest tube insertions, bedside paracentesis, and thoracentesis
Apply knowledge of chest tubes and dysrhythmia management in daily patient care
Adhere to unit-specific policies including the Telemetry Monitoring Policy and Stroke Policy
Rotate every other weekend and float to Ortho/Med-Surg as needed per floating policy

Required Qualifications

Active RN license valid in Kentucky
Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience
BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience with remote telemetry monitoring systems
Familiarity with Meditech electronic documentation system
Prior experience with chest tube management, paracentesis, or thoracentesis support
Background in dysrhythmia recognition and management
